Much Ado About Nothing!!

The book we are reading in class is one of my favorite movies!!! When I heard we were reading Shakespeare in class I freaked out. I really do enjoy his play writes like Much Ado About nothing, A midsummer's nights dream, As you like it, The tempest, Hamlet, and of course...Romeo&Juliet! Besides liking the movie much ado about nothing, I really enjoy Shakespeare In Love; It wasn't a work of his but it is about what led him to write these magnificent works. Well I'm going to go read over the part i have to do tomorrow.

I read a little more and found out that when Jesse, Sara, and Kate arrived at the hospital, the doctors tole them that giving Kate a transplant is now officially too dangerous; that the blood was a sign of kidney failure and that there is no way to save her. Sara, on the other hand, disagrees; she thinks that if Jesse would give her a kidney she could live. Do you really think that after all these years of him not getting attention, he would do a favor for his mom? Or do you think he will do it because he feels so bad for his younger sister?

The big thing that has happened so far is that Jesse(Kate's brother) feels like he gets no attention in the house; so he starts fires around town. He started a very large one that burnt a warehouse down and watched his dad(whose a fire fighter) and others help make the fire go down. Once Jesse got home, Sara(mom) told him that Kate wasn't opening the door unless Ana was there but she was gone. Sara said that when she heard Kate coughing she had to go in Kate's room. Jesse saw that Sara had knocked the door down and then saw Kate "swimming in her own pool of blood". She had been coughing and throwing upso much blood that it was everywhere! Jesse then knew this was bad; that same question he thinks everyday finally came into mind: Is this it? is this the end for her?

Since the book is going a little slow, Ill just talk about something I noticed.

In the book, you can see that Anna is very independent; she get everything done by herself...as in going to Cambell and asking him for help. Ever since she was born, shes been helping her sister who is very sick. Kate is just the opposite. She depends on Anna to give her blood and to help her survive. Anna is sick and tired of that now. My questions are: how is Kate going to feel about this? How will she react? We she get really sick again? Will Kate die? What will Anna do?

ABORTION

For my research paper, I am doing a topic based off of abortion: How old must the baby be to get an abortion?
Pregnancy is usually dated from the first day of the last menstrual cycle. You may choose medication abortion if you are early enough in pregnancy — this may be defined as up to 49, 56, or 63 days, depending on how the medicine is taken. After 63 days, vacuum aspiration is your only abortion option during the first trimester, which is calculated as the first 14 weeks after the first day of a woman's last menstrual period. Fire
Fire is a common theme in the book, and it ties much of the plot together. The passages that preface each section concern fire. Brian is a firefighter. Jesse sets fires. Kate's illness can be compared to a fire because it is out of control and destroys everything in its path. Anna compares her initiating the lawsuit to fire. Brian says a fire should be allowed to burn unchecked. He is referring to Kate's illness in that they should let it run its course without interference. He uses fire to make points in conversations with his coworkers. Brain connects fire to the story of Pandora 's Box and hope. Hope is what he has left as Kate's father. He is trying to put out the home fires, which include Kate's illness, Anna's lawsuit, Sara's stubbornness, and Jesse's troubles. Julia puts out the fire Brian starts in the kitchen; and in her role as guardian and sister, she tries to put out fires. She also rescues Campbell.

I found this theme on a discussion page about the book. I would have to agree a lot with this. Fire can best describe this book because fire cannot be tamed, its powerful, and hard to make it go away in some cases. For Kate, fire can stand for her disease because it takes a long time to make it go away, and you need to keep adding water(more treatments) to make it go down(go away). For Brian of course, he is a firefighter so it fits perfectly well. For Jesse, He does start a fire which causes more stress over the family. For Anna, She compares the lawsuit to fire; putting a fire on her parents. For Julia, she is always trying to help with Kate's illness or you could say she is just "putting the fire out". Lastly, Sara is the mother who has been tyring to make this fire go away her whole life, but hasn't been able to.

"They don't really pay attention to me, except when they need my blood or something. I wouldn't even be alive, if it wasn't for Kate being sick." This was said by Anna. I do have to admitt that I have noticed that her parents have been paying no attention to Anna. I mean...even though Kate is very sick, they've been paying attention to her since she was born; you think they would actually notice their other children. They dont know whats going on with everyone else. Obviously Anna is in pain, but they cant see that. Yes, it must be very hard to have a daughter whose dying, but Brian and Sara should still care for their other children(Jesse and Anna).

So from where we left off, Anna wanted to find away to put an end to this unfair actions she has to do for her sister Kate. To fix this, Anna went to a lawyer and decided to Sue her parents. With the help of her lawyer Cambell, they are going to try to make it all better, but at the same Anna wont know whats going on with her parents. Stress much?!?

With my new outside reading book, Anna's little sister Kate has had Leukemia for a very long time. And the only way to save her is to have someone with the same blood type to help with the transfusions, shots, and surgeries. Thats why Sara and Brian(Anna's parents) had Anna so she could be the main reason Kate is living longer. Unfortunately Anna cant take it anymore. Her parents have been making her do this without even asking her. They think shes fine with it, but they never pay attention to her. Anna wants to put an end to this but doesn't know how.

Eclipse

I think that a good theme for this book would be powerful because theres so much love and trusting in this book that it gives off a powerful effect. Bella and Edward love each other and they would do anything for each other. Like in New moon, when Edward leaves and Bella goes crazy and tries to kill herself! Jacob saves Bella, but then Alice sees Bella jumping off a cliff in her head then tells Edward. Edward thinks Bella is dead so then he tries to kill himself too! Thankfully Bella and Alice come to the rescue.


All of this shows how powerful love can be between one another.

Eclipse

Well I finished the book a couple days ago everyone! I must say that it did go kind of slow, but I still loved it.

So, Bella and Jacob kiss again because Jacob tells her he will kill himself if she doesn't kiss him, then Edward finds out and forgives her. Afterwards, The Cullens and the Wolves get together to take down Victoria for Bella's safety; they succeeded!! Though, Carslile and Jacob both get injured later. The only thing I was disappointed about was that Bella was not a vampire yet!

There is still more to come when the new book comes out :D

Hello again,

Once again the lot is going very slow in the book! from what i have picked up today, Bella really wants to become a vampire, but Edward is having second thoughts in not letting her anymore since they are in a fight and Bella is Kind of with Jacob. Bella feels confused and deprived of her love.

Hey guys, wasn't able to read that much because i got hurt a couple nights ago but what i picked up is that Bella and Edward are in a stupid fight right now. The plot is going a little slow, but will be back on track in no time!!

400 Blows

In my opinion, I thought the movie had no point to it. I though that the plot didn’t really explain a lot to help you think of what it was about. Sure Antoine had a bad relationship with his parents and he always did wrong, but that still wasn’t enough. Also, the movie was in French so it didn’t really give you a midst of what was going on. One part I thought was pretty important was when Antoine saw his mother with another man, but that’s all they showed. I though they should have shown more of what went on with the mother when she wasn’t home because that was a big event that is going to be stuck with Antoine forever since his father doesn’t know. So overall, the film was not effective because it “brought nothing to the table”; there wasn’t that much to absorb from the movie.

This is part of my essay i will be handing in tomorrow.

Today as I read Eclipse, I came across a big event. Bella and Jacob kissed. I was shocked. I felt this was bad because Bella and Edward are meant to be! I was very sad =[

Anyway, to be honest...thats all i got to and nothing else happened, i will have more this week though!!

Hello everyone! I am now here again with another update on my outside reading book.
Now after Edward forbids Bella to not see Jacob, he has his sister Alice watch over Bella while hes gone "hunting". Alice gets very excited because Edward bribes her with a new car and then she gets to have a sleepover with Bella. At the Cullen's(Edwards family) she calls Jacob and tells him shes not aloud to see him the upcoming weekend. He starts to yell and complain about the "bloodsuckers" or in other words the Cullen's. Afterwards Bella is angry and goes to Edwards room to sleep. She finds herself sitting in the sofa in his room staring into the night.
All of a sudden a shadow appears in the doorway; it was Rosalie. Rosalie and Bella have never gotten along so Bella was very surprised for Rosalie's unexpected visit. Rosalie asks Bella if she could talk to her. Later on, Rosalie explains to Bella that the experience she went through(Rosalie) was very painful and it wasn't her choice to become a vampire; she had life awaiting for her until the night she got attacked. Then Rosalie fills with anger and explains to Bella that she would give anything to have the life she had...to not be a vampire and also tells Bella that the reason they never get along is because shes jealous that Edward picked Bella over her.

We are done with the book!

Personally, I did not like this book that much. I guess that there were some parts in the text that were very good when he described he feelings. Did I like the plot? No.The author was describing his childhood and the memories he chose were his choice, but i didn't like how he wrote it. Sometimes it was hard to understand, most of the time it was choppy, and then i just didn't think the rest was interesting. I thought it was very depressing; I thought he should have made it more powerful because those events were very painful for someone to look back on.

Besides that, i though the ending in the book was OK because i know that some people did not like it. Although, I'm pretty sure i wont be going on to the second part of the book.

That's just my opinion...

Hello again!!

From where i left off, Bella was in La Push visiting Jacob. When Bella tries to leave, Jacob tries to stop her. They both stay with each other and talk on the beach on "their tree". When she does leave, she is happy because she finally got to see Jacob smile. Afterwards, she goes over to her friend Angela's to help her send out announcement letters. When Bella is there, Angela questions Bella about Edward. Bella tells Angela that Edward is mad at her and is happy that she did because she finally got to have a "girl talk". Later, Edward confronts Bella that Alice (Edward's sister who can see thing that are going to happen) saw her with Jacob. Edward warns Bella to never see him again because it is very dangerous. Bella disagrees with him and then they get into a fight. After Edward cracks a joke, the fight is over and its back to normal.

Do you think Bella is going to listen to Edward?

Black Boy

Right now in class we are reading "Black Boy". This book is about a boy Richard who goes through a lot of struggles with his family. For instance, in the beginning, his family moves to a flat in Memphis where they have absolutely no money what so ever. His father leaves the family leaving his mother with 2 kids to raise by herself. Also, Richard finds himself coming across all kinds of events: becoming an alcoholic at a very young age, he killed a kitten to get back at his father, beat the gang who was mugging him, learned that he absorbs a lot of knowledge, getting beaten all the time, writing the swear words all over the neighborhood's windows with soap, mother having a stroke and ending up moving in with his uncle and many more. He also ends up in an orphanage home, and then moving around everywhere so he has a place to live in and have food to eat because he was always starving.


Throughout the book, all these events tie up to others which are yet to come in this book...what do you think will happen next?

Right now for my outside reading book, I am reading the book "Eclipse" which is the third book out of the twilight series and i must say that i LOVE these books so much! (i know a lot of people in our class who love it too! Don't hide it!)

To give you a midst of the book, it is basically about a girl, Bella, who moves to Forks, Washington and comes across a strangely beautiful boy named Edward who tries to stay away from her as possible at first. Finally Bella gets to know him and finds out that hes a vampire! (I know that might sound strange) Despite Edwards deep dark secret about him and his family, Bella falls in love with Edward and finds herself in many dangerous obstacles just to be with him. In the end, they are happily with each other.

In Eclipse so far, Bella is trying to get Edward to turn her into a vampire so she can be with him forever. He agrees to do it, but only after high school graduation. Bella needs to understand that she can't tell anyone and would have to be away from Charlie and her mother and Jacob. She also has to understand that becoming a vampire is a very painful process to go through. Going on, Jacob stopped talking to Bella because he feels that shes making a big mistake being in love with a "blood sucker". Jacob loves Bella and is very jealous and is trying to keep her safe from Victoria, the vampire who is out to kill her since Edward killed Victoria's love. When Bella pays an unexpected visit to Jacob, he realizes that he really did miss her and can barley live without her! So now Jacob and the wolf pack, and the Cullens(Edwards family) always come across each other and have problems when they hunt for Victoria. There is so much going on right now that you just don't know whats going to happen next and you have sooooooo many questions to ask!

Are Edward and Bella going to stay together? Is Bella going to become a vampire? What will happen to Victoria?
